Over the 2020-21 school year, I have planned and taught lessons in an online and in-person environment. Below you will find three lessons that I taught to my third-grade class.

Mathematics

In this lesson, the students worked on discovering the relationship between the side lengths and area of rectangle.

Reading

This lesson came in the middle of a unit discussing character development. We worked on identifying the different roles secondary characters play, and how those roles assist the main character’s development.

Writing

Creating an initial first draft of a fictional narrative was the objective of this lesson. After some prior work on characters, settings, and problems, the students were ready to try to draft a story.
